I’m looking forward to my demonstration tomorrow night. I’m posting some photos which illustrate the relevance of the scene I am intending to paint and also one of the reasons why I started to paint.

These are photos of my Dad Jim . He inspired me to paint. In the army in Germany he swapped cigarettes for art materials. He was a member of Gibside Art Club in Rowlands Gill, Tyne and Wear.
These are the two images I am going to paint as a diptych. The river Derwent in County Durham.
